Just when we thought Tiger Woods was having the worst week ever, Pleasure P comes in for the steal. Earlier today the 24-year-old Grammy nominee and ex-member of crude crew Pretty Ricky, was rumored to have had a history of child molestation with his then 4-year-old niece and 3-year-old nephew. Though the deets are startling, they’re also exhaustive. So Honey’s breaking down the disturbia…

The Twitter claim: Laura Goldstein (@AGoldsteinGirl), daughter and assistant of P’s attorney posted on Twitter several court docs that indicated he had been restrained from unsupervised visits with a 3-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl after inappropriately touching them. She said P had hired her father to get the records “sealed” and to file an injunction against the other men of Pretty Ricky to keep them quiet about it. She claims P never paid her father and started threatening her family, pushing her to publicly expose his past.

OOO Child, What do you think??? I wanna know

I haven't had a chance to check out the latest Disney movie "The Princess and the Frog" but just knowing that Disney has finally come out with a movie about the first ever African American princess is sooo awesome and what makes it even better is Princess Tiana is from MY home town New Orleans. If you haven't gone to see this movie I encourage you to. I know I will. Check out the trailer below

Lola vs. Nicki

"Just when we thought the femcee lane had been cleared for only Nicki Minaj to take a spin, here arrives video-vixen-turned-rapper Lola Monroe, revving her engine — hella loud. The Indonesian, self-proclaimed Boss Bitch — with a derriere distracting enough to make straight girls stare — recently snapped in an interview that she “doesn’t do the [Nicki Minaj] Barbie thing. I really don’t agree with it, that’s basic.” Sounds like tactical war words to us, but perhaps because we’re admittedly biased when it comes to our darling Nickster. To be fair, we’re pinning the new girls to a face-off. Decide in the comments who you’re ultimately rooting for…?????

Choices

Life it self is sooo awesome, the good as well as the not so good;however, sometimes there comes a point in life where you have to make decisions. Sometimes it's easy and other times not so easy, but as we all know for every decision we make there is a consequence. The consequence could be either good or bad. In my opinion what makes certain decisions more difficult than others is when the consequence of your decision has a good and bad side, on top of the fact that it could hurt someone. So what do you do? Do you continue playing it safe and stay on the Easy road? or Do you take a risk step out on faith and take the Not so easy road and risk some things that presently makes you happy with no true knowledge that in the future it will remain that way? I have a tendency of giving up right when things seem to get a little complicated, afraid of fighting for what I want and afraid of losing, but I'm beginning to realize that if I continue to give up or assume something is not for me,because it's seems cloudy at the moment that I will NEVER receive what it is that God has for me,so I think on this scripture as away to remind myself that things may not be going the way I think they should right now, or I may not understand why things happen the way they do,but to remember to take each day one day at a time live each day as if it were my last and wait patiently for my reward and I encourage everyone reading this to do the same.

Rant

We all know and love facebook, but there are a few things I want to rant about. First, It's ok to post statuses on facebook, I mean that's what the status box is for right?, but we don't need to know every single thing your doing through out your day. Some of us really don't care. Like for instance we don't need to know your driving to your doctors appointment then 5 min later you post a new status letting us know you made it to your doctors appointment, then 5 min after that your waiting for the doctor to come in. GEESH!!!! for your info WE DON'T REALLY CARE!! in other words it's ok to let us know what's going on in your life, but we don't need to know every single flippin detail GOSH! another thing, How many of us wish there was a "dislike" button? I know I do because there have been quite a few of statuses that I would like to check dislike to. This one is for my ladies. LADIES!! Facebook is not a place to advertise how much you need and want a husband by taking the "When Will I Get Married Quiz" that only makes you look desperate. Stop sending me request for gifts on Sorority Life, Yoville, Mobster,Farmville...etc... If I want to send you a gift I will and last but certainly not Least. Lets use facebook to spread Love and Positivity

Owwww!!

Spread Love

We all go through up's and down's with family and friends and sometimes it's hard to forgive. I was recently in a situation where someone hurt me and I possibly hurt them. I held hard feelings toward them and wasn't sure if I would ever forgive them, but I'm telling you that there is power in Prayer. I got the opportunity to sit down and talk with this person and we were able to do something that I never thought I would be able to do and that was forgive them. So I'm challenging everyone to excersie forgiveness and to squash any misunderstandings with anyone you may have them with and I'm telling you life will be so much better. If there is anyone or anything in your life that is negative or brings negative energy I challenge you to get rid of it, seperate yourself from it and Lets spread love and positivity

Reuniting???

Word on the street is TLC is making a coming back. According to PoPSugar TLC hasn't taken the stage in seven years, but T-Boz and Chili are planning to perform on Oct. 17 in Vegas. Tionne Watkins and Rozonda Thomas will participate in the Justin Timberlake and Friends concert, which is being held to benefit Shiners Hospitals For Children. It'll be Tionne and Rozonda's first show without Lisa Lopez since her death in 2002, so tell us — are you excited for the return of TLC?
It sounds like their plan to reunite is to support Shiners Hospital, but who knows maybe this will inspire them to get back in the studio and make another album, Hey, Monica's doing it!

Laissez les bon temps rouler

Red beans and rice and Jambalaya, crawfish and beignets, king cake, Mardi Gras, Jazz Bands, and Street Cars all of these things and soo much more can only be found in one place. Today marks the fourth anniversary since Hurricane Katrina and it's unbelievable to me how some parts of New Orleans still look like Katrina just hit last night. I went home about a week ago to visit family, and as I drove through New Orleans I was in disbelief at how devastating New Orleans East still looks. Houses are still abandon, businesses have not reopened. The closest hospital is Uptown. The nearest Wal-Mart is on Tchoupitoulas. It's been FOUR YEARS ya'll and the east looks horrible. Will another four years go by with nothing being done? I hope not. I'm paying respect to those who lost their lives during that terrible time and I'm thanking God for sparing lives. To me New Orleans will always be home. The authentic spirit of New Orleans will live on, so raise your handkerchief and LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULER!!!

Happy Birthday!

No matter what they say you were, and always will be the greatest. It's sad to know that Micheal Jackson didn't get to see this day, when in my opinion he very well could have. Songs like Bad, Dirty Diana, Heal the world, Ben, Man in the Mirror,PYT,Beat It, You Are Not Alone,Childhood(which I believe was the soundtrack to his life) and so so so many more touched lives across the WORLD and will continue to touch many to come. Micheal Jackson was a perfect example of how someones passion for something can be felt all around, and how it can break barriers that people thought would never be be broken. His passion has given other artist a living example of true artistry and and given hope to black people, white people, asian people, etc...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Stay Inspired

We are each born into this life with a particular purpose, or mission, a gift to give the world. We will find that whatever is our passion is generally that which is related to our purpose and for which we have a particular gift to develop and share.

We all have dreams and wishes. Unless we do something about them, that is exactly what they remain. It is action that brings our dreams and wishes to life. We can do this by setting goals and taking it step by step until our goals are realized. Never be daunted by those who would discourage you. Listen to and act on your inner voice, let your life be an adventure! Mistakes and all. After all, it is your life!

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you too can become great. ~ Mark Twain ~

The ABC’s of Lace Front Wigs

Hair extensions and wigs have been a staple in the beauty business for decades, especially in the urban market, but recently the phenomenon of lace front wigs has grown to new heights. True Indian Hair, located in Brooklyn, has establish itself as a premier supplier and distributor of 100 percent human Indian remy hair extensions and lace front wigs. Lace front wigs were once extremely costly and were only available to celebrities or the rich, however, today lace front wigs are more popular and are readily available to the general public at affordable prices ranging from $250-$1000.

What Is a Lace Front Wig?Lace front wigs are also known as lace units or hair cranial prosthetics. Lace fronts create the illusion that hair is growing out of one's scalp, and is one of the most natural-looking extensions on the market. Lace front wigs are constructed using a thin lace (Swiss lace or French lace) as the base where individual hairs are than hand tied into the lace. There are also "lace frontal pieces" and "lace closures" which are partial lace pieces that can be used in conjunction with weaving wefts. With this arrangement, the wefts are glued or sewn into one's hair and the lace frontal applied only at the hairline.

Who Wears Lace Front Wigs?Lace front wigs are an excellent choice for women of all ethnicities and is no longer a luxury only enjoyed by celebrities and entertainers such as Beyoncé, Tyra Banks, Eva Marcille and Mary J. Blige. If you want natural-looking extensions, try the lace wig, hair pieces, and remy hair extensions from True Indian Hair.

Computer Love: Is Technology Hurting Our relationships?

Twittering while on a date? Check.

Twittering during family dinner? Check.

Twittering while giving birth? Check.

It's all been recorded on Twitter and in case you aren't hip to the new obsession, Twitter is a social networking website that allows you to tell thousands of people what you're doing in any given moment. From shameless self-promotion to in depth personal niceties, folks are sparing their inner most thoughts and feelings on the web and most have the convenience to do so via cell phones. The celebrity presence on Twitter is astounding and stars like Erykah Badu, who updated her Twitter followers while in labor with her third child, have even become victim to the craze. However, harmless twittering can turn into a harmful consequence on your relationship, whether it's romantic or platonic.
According to an article in USAToday, wives are asking their husbands to politely remove themselves from cyber space and return to the real world. "Guys get obsessed with video games, or they over-share on the Internet, which is so unattractive," said Lauren Herskovic, managing editor of CollegeCandy.com to USAToday. "No one is actually in the moment anymore." But it's not just our significant others. It's family members, best friends, coworkers and even strangers and who users fail to give their undivided attention to, for the sake of communicating with people who they may not know. In a day and age when text messages have given way to phone calls and iChats have conveniently replaced in-person visits, some say the quality of our relationships is in jeopardy.
Do you agree? Has technology put a damper on relationships as we know it?

Get To Know India Arie

India Arie is known and cherished by fans and fellow musicians as a poet, a songwriter, a daughter, a producer, a musician, a sister, a singer, an advocate, a friend and a philanthropist –– but she is possibly best known for the love in her music that has inspired and motivated people worldwide. From the moment that her very first single “Video,” and her multi–platinum debut album Acoustic Soul were released in 2001, India's music established an extraordinary bond of trust, affection and communication with her followers. Her sophomore release the platinum selling Voyage to India in 2002 was hailed worldwide by critics. The New York Times called it “music that only further enhances her reputation as an artist of substance; centering on her acoustic guitar and confident but restrained vocals, it recalls such soul masters as Stevie Wonder and Roberta Flack.” In 2006 she released her No. 1 charting album Testimony: Vol.1, Love & Relationship, a beautiful collection of songs treasured by fans for its intimate, heart–tugging portrait of a lover’s parting and its after–ache. Although they’ve been understated, the politics of India.Arie’s Grammy–honored music have also been on open display ever since Oprah Winfrey pointedly thanked her for writing the sentiment “I may not be built like a supermodel/But I’ve learned to love myself unconditionally” – a declaration of independence from a set agenda that, eight years later, remains as politically definitive as any protest song ever written. Winfrey also singled out the Testimony: Vol. 1 track “There’s Hope” as “music that really stimulates and revives the soul,” and India’s music was known to be heard on campaign buses and planes, rallies and fundraisers during the historic Presidential run of Barack Obama. “I want people to hear my music for a long time,” says India, “for this generation to say decades from now: ‘This still says what I think’ and girls who are 11 now, who were 1 when I wrote ‘Video,’ can say, ‘That’s how I feel.’” A broadening awareness of her own calling and of our collective worldwide dialogue is central to Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics (Soulbird Music/Universal Republic), the fourth studio album by India.Arie. Years after completing her first multi–platinum album, “I feel my music is even more in accordance with where people are. Everybody’s looking for ways to feel better –– the world is so unpredictable, people are looking inside themselves to ask what’s meaningful in life. My music has always addressed this, and now it’s so much in vibrational accordance with what people are thinking.” India.Arie has stood often with her peers in the top echelon of entertainment as an activist for global health and human dignity. As a U.S. Ambassador for UNICEF, she traveled to Africa several times to address the AIDS crisis, and filmed the VH–1 documentary Tracking the Monster: Ashley Judd & India.Arie Confront Aids in Africa. “I Am Not My Hair” was central to Lifetime Television’s recent “Stop Breast Cancer for Life” public awareness campaign, “Beautiful Flower” was used for fund–raising for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, “She Is” was created for the documentary on Ellen Johnson Sirleaf entitled Iron Ladies of Liberia, and “What About the Child” has been used in conjunction with various UNICEF events. Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics is, as always, a searching, insightful, honest and creatively accomplished expression of inner emotions, and the interconnectedness of all of us. India adds that it’s a reflection of changes – hers and ours, too. “There’s nothing you can do or say that’s separate from other people any more,” she observes. “Now you can have the whole world in your laptop, you are a part of the world instantaneously. laying things on the table for conversation, that’s politics. Politics is what happens when a group of people get together, and section themselves off. A lot of my album is about how we define and separate ourselves. I know from traveling around the world that people are now talking about all these different things. That’s what the album is about.” Two tracks from the album were released digitally in advance of its full release: the jazz–flavored melodic bubbler “Chocolate High," featuring longtime friend Musiq Soulchild, and the romantic, exuberant "Therapy," featuring Jamaican roots artist Gramps Morgan, co–written and co–produced by emerging artist Novel, who previously collaborated with India on “Purify Me.” India.Arie doesn’t hesitate to point out that the lush, diverse and tasty album arrangements and clarity of its sound reflect a new breakthrough in her craft as a producer: “This is the first album that really represents me vocally, lyrically, sonically. In my last album, my goal was to express the emotion and the vision musically, along with the words. I accomplished that on this album. It’s an unhindered expression.” Based on rhythm tracks cut live with her band over a month of sessions, India’s love of performance also shines through every song, and she gives album co–producer Dru Castro credit for a smooth creative process that extended through a solid year of post–production on the individual songs. “Collaboration, manifesting what I heard in my head really quickly, doing it all exactly and fully –– that was fun, and my best studio experience ever.” The second volume of Testimony, she notes, was originally planned with songs that hadn’t fit conceptually into Love & Relationship – but a chance meeting with Turkish icon Sezan Aksu in New York “changed the vision of what I can do. It made me just say: Do what I want to do, no matter the consequences. I went to Hawaii the next month, visualized the album, started writing songs.” The album’s spiritual and emotional core can be found in the romantic and compassionate songs “He Heals Me,” “River Rise,” “The Cure,” featuring Sezen Aksu’s vocal, and “Better Way,” featuring roots–music superstar Keb Mo, India says. “Exactly a year later, I look at those songs and know they came out of that travel. I wrote ten songs in ten days in Hawaii, and when I came back, that inspiration was still so alive, I wrote five more.” She adds: “‘Ghetto’ and ‘Yellow’ I started with Shannon Sanders while we were touring Acoustic Soul, and I was surprised at how much new life was breathed into them. I love these songs, and I love ‘Pearls,’ (India’s revival of the Sade fan favorite, featuring the brilliant Ivory Coast multi–talent Dobet Gnahoré). “These songs symbolize being more empowered, honoring feelings more. Not fitting in anyone’s box anymore. This album sounds like me, now, not trying to live something or capture something. It’s just now. A sonic representation of who I am.” Other album collaborators include hip–hop pioneer M.C. Lyte on “Psalms 23,” acclaimed jazz original Rachelle Ferrell, co–writer of “Better Way,” and India’s mother, stylist and all–around inspiration Simpson, co–writer of “Long Goodbye” and “A Beautiful Day,” a track originally composed on the spot during an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, with GMA co–host Robin Roberts. The creative strength and satisfaction underlying Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics also reflects India’s experience of a world that’s becoming closer to us all. ”I always looked at myself as a world music artist –– even when I was playing coffee houses in college,” she reflects. “I was always unsatisfied to be filed under urban, only. This is the first world music album that I’ve made. It addresses politics in a way that people don’t expect. One of the biggest political statements it makes is that there’s a new definition of what it means to be part of the world –– to have an album that involves Musiq, Dobet, Sezen, Keb Mo, Lyte, Gramps, doing things together without being in the same place with them, and what it means for all these people to sing songs together.” India.Arie has sold over 8 million albums worldwide, including the double–platinum Acoustic Soul, the platinum Voyage to India and her number one album Testimony: Vol.1, Life & Relationship. Her honors include 17 Grammy nominations, 2 Grammy Awards, 4 ">NAACP Image Awards, and various awards from BET, Billboard, MTV, VH–1, Vogue, Essence, and others. Her songs have appeared in such films as Sex and the City, The Secret Life of Bees, A Soldier’s Story, Radio, A Shark’s Tale and Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Arie launched her own label, Soulbird Music, in June 2008 through Universal Republic, with the release of singer–songwriter Anthony David's album Acey Deucy and the Grammy–nominated single "Words," a duet with Arie.
