No Bullies Allowed
Today I’ve placed a purple ribbon on my blog as a way to pay homage to the LGBT community and the six boys who recently committed suicide, as well as raise awareness against bullying. If you are being bullied or know someone being bullied remember to keep your spirits high, remain who you are and never make any apologies for that. Circle yourself around people who love you and support you and ignore all things negative.

You have a Attitude!
So, I was in Wal-Mart and decided to stop by the deli. There were a couple of people working behind the counter, one of the ladies was extremely friendly, she acknowledge that I was there and let me know that someone would be with me shortly, so in the mean time I browsed.
Finally a lady came to the counter and she had a little bit of a tude (attitude) she wasn’t smiling and wasn’t very friendly at all. My initial reaction was to give her attitude right back, but something told me not to go there. When I thought about it, I said to myself obviously this lady is going through something, she maybe having a bad day, she could have just lost a family member, she could be sick, who knows. I said all that to say
You just never know what someone maybe going through and everyone we encounter, or cross paths with has a story and even though we may not always get the opportunity to sit down and talk with them about it, or ask them what’s wrong we shouldn’t be so quick to react in a negative way, but instead to keep in mind that everyone goes through things and tomorrow it could be you

This Is My Life
We spend approximately 12 years of our lives trying to decide if we want to pursue higher education, and if so what exactly do we want to study and practice for the rest of our lives? I’m not sure how many of us actually spend that full 12 years thinking about this, but I’m inclined to think not many; however by the time we do start thinking about our future long term goal, many of us begin to look into careers that pay the most money to help dictate which direction we’re going to go in. Now don’t get me wrong that’s all fine and dandy, but how many people actually think about what their passionate about and not so much of who’s paying the most? I mean come on if you’re going to have to do this for the rest of your life shouldn’t it at least be something you enjoy? I just feel like if you’re doing what you are passionate about then you will excel in that beyond belief. As cliché’ as this is going to sound, I really believe in the saying that “If you do what you love you will never work a day in your life” and I’m sorry I don’t want to work hunny. This brings me to what this blog is all about.
It’s actually taken me about 6 years to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life. I went from nursing, to education, to social work, then psychology, and there was something in each one of those careers that I enjoyed, but none fit perfectly, until a couple of months ago when I started looking into Occupational Therapy. Occupational therapy is so rewarding for someone like me. I get to exercise all the things I’m passionate about. I get to work with patients; I get to teach by showing young and older people how to use their motor skills again after suffering from a stroke, or maybe a car or sports accident. Occupational therapy will also allow me to help patients cope with the different emotions they may experience while learning cognitive skills again which is where the Psychology comes into play.
Even though it’s taken me this long I am finally excited in knowing that I found what I love.
If you’re trying to figure out what direction to go in with life know that’s it’s never too late to change, really think about what your passionate about, and remember that the race is not given to the swift nor the strong, but to he that endures until the end (Ecclesiastes 9:11)

Staying Encouraged
Let me start off by saying that I have the BEST mom in the world, she’s always there when I need her and she knows just what to do when I’m down and could use a little bit of a “pick me upper”
So I’ve been going through what I guess some would call depression, but I’m learning that it’s just God’s way of keeping me humble and reminding me who’s God, and it’s not me.
Over the last couple of days I’ve surrendered to God and I’m learning to listen to his voice because I know he will NEVER steer me wrong; however, It’s not easy for me because I’ve been trying to control my own life(crazy right? Lol) but I’m going to take it one day at a time and I know I will get better.
Check out this book my mom gave me to help keep me encouraged. Can’t wait to start reading it

It's Keri Baaaby
She's back ya'll and this time "NO BOYS ALLOWED", which is also the name of her Sophmore album that's suppose to be released on November 30th. Check out her new single "Breaking Point" which I happen to love and I'm sure a lot of ladies can relate to this song. It's my anthem right now
